This film portrays a young woman afflicted with glaucoma who must escape the drug trade within DC's crime-infested neighborhoods to pursue her dream of becoming a writer. But a vicious handicap stands in her way – her father! Blind Justice is a narrative short film about Brianna, a quiet outsider in her 30s, born with glaucoma, who decides to deal drugs to make ends meet. As time passes by, she becomes incredibly skilled in the drug business, making her a deadly target. On edge and alone, she decides to make new plans to pursue her true aspirations – attending college. Her plans seem to be going well until the people closest to her begin to take notice.

Gia Foretia is an emerging DC, MD, and VA filmmaker. A few years after graduating from the university, she worked as an actress, producer, and production assistant for Ramer Productions, Maybe Later Studios, When Wire Was King, Her House Media, and DC TV. Her projects have been screened on Apple TV, BET+American Public Television, and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and placed in the San Diego Black Film FestivalWashington DC International Cinema Festival, etc. Gia is passionate about drama and fantasy genres, mainly historical fiction, biographical, and narrative.
