The film deals with an issue facing many families throughout the world. Faced with his grandmother's dementia, Aaron decides to take her to the village where she was born to try to postpone an illness that he cannot quite accept.

Dante Schmitz was born in Barcelona, where his interest in cinema led him to develop his first short film, FILIA (2018). In 2019, he entered the Higher School of Cinema and Audio Visuals of Catalonia (ESCAC), where he graduated specializing in directing with a master's degree in screenwriting. Palentian Song is his final degree project.
